|Part of my "Watercolour a day" project for 2013. I'm going to do my best to complete one watercolour a day for the rest of the year!|
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA in 1985 Nicole has been drawing as long as there has been a pencil to hold in her hand. She first started training in Ohio at the age of seven showing a predisposition for portraits and people. She exhibited her first watercolour picture in Ohio at this time. Under the direction of various Art teachers she continued to sell works throughout her childhood. She studied at the Salisbury College in Maryland at 13 before moving her studies out to the west coast where she learned from contemporary realist oil and watercolour painters such as Maurice Wyberg, and Michael Bingham. After finishing her primary education she moved onto secondary education in both San Francisco Art Academy in Califorina, and also Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Washington.
A short hiatus in 2006 of two kids and migrating to the United Kingdom postponed her continuing education until 2011. She is now in formal education again under the tutalage of Jonathan Hardesty. Nicole can be contacted for further commissions both in digital and watercolour illustrations and traditional drawing and portraiture work.
